Leotak In Sheffield

Leotak cationic bitumen emulsion (tack coat)

Leotak: A Rapid-Acting Cold-Applied 40% Cationic Bitumen Emulsion

Leotak offers an innovative solution as a rapid-acting, cold-applied 40% cationic bitumen emulsion. Upon curing, Leotak forms a thin but uniform bitumen film on the road surface, facilitating a strong adhesive bond crucial for connecting bituminous overlays with existing surfaces.

We sell Leotak in either 25kg or 200kg barrels.

For optimal results, we strongly recommend tack coating, particularly when overlaying with hot rolled asphalt, macadam, or undertaking patching or inlaid work.

  • Carriageways

  • Footways

  • Car Parks

Leotak demonstrates exceptional adhesion, even in damp conditions, ensuring the secure anchoring of overlays while impeding water entry between road pavement courses, thus enhancing durability.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is free from weeds, standing water, loose materials, and oil spillage.

Application

Apply Leotak via spraying or hand application at a rate of 0.3 to 0.6 litres per square metre, adjusting for surface texture and porosity to achieve a thin, uniformly covered film.

  • 1 x 25kg container covers at least 40sqm.

  • 1 x 200kg drum covers at least 320sqm.
